Overview

We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join a collaborative project team in Exton, PA. The Project Coordinator is supporting the project manager who is responsible for guiding Professional Services teams to achieve on-time, high-quality releases through enforcement of the department’s Initiation Phase and Agile Delivery processes, JIRA best practices, and timely resolution of issues impeding progress. 

Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate daily scrums for assigned teams and review the burndown chart with the team. During Scrum, note any blockers/impediments raised and then facilitate a post scrum session with appropriate team members to determine a plan of action to remove them where appropriate.
  2. Initiate post-scrum follow up with the Project Manager to determine assignments and target dates for removing blockers/impediments. Own the removal of as many as possible. Track the status of all such issues until resolution.
  3. Analyze the team’s JIRA usage, identify gaps against best practices, and develop a plan to close the gaps. Lead team to implement and maintain best practices for JIRA backlog management, including proper story organization, right-sizing stories, correct subtasks, and effective use of epics, fix versions, labels and other JIRA features like dashboards. 
  4. Make sure the team’s developers enter their due dates for assignments in JIRA. Proactively analyze sprint activities to assess risks of not meeting sprint goals. Follow up on risks to the sprint plan and work with the Project Manager as needed to course correct. Query JIRA daily to identify any due dates that have been missed.
  5. Support PM in leading lead sprint and release Retrospectives. Working with the Project Manager, follow up on areas to improve and document planned corrective actions. Track the team’s progress on implementing the improvements.
  6. Create sprint plans as assigned.
  7. Assist the Project Manager with creating and updating release plans.
  8. Champion the iPipeline Agile Delivery process with internal teams and clients.
  9. Create custom JIRA reports and dashboards for assigned teams as needed and provide best practices to customers on JIRA usage on iPipeline and JIRA issue management.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Skills Requirements:

 

  • At least 1 year of experience on a Professional Services project team.
  • Expertise in the department’s Agile Delivery process.
  • Expert level JIRA user.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Superior problem-solving ability.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to keep track of multiple workstreams.
  • PMP is a plus but not required.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
