Overview

We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst – IT Operations in our Exton, PA headquarters. This role serves as a Financial Analyst on iPipeline’s Financial Planning and Analysis team (“FP&A”) team with a primary focus on the day-to-day monitoring, reporting, and processing of our IT function’s procurement and billing for our onsite datacenter and cloud technology operations. To effectively perform this role, the individual serving must work closely with the FP&A team and IT Operations team to perform the following set of duties:

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily financial health checks of our cloud-based IT operations.
  • Initiate financial forensics of identified issues and escalate spend anomalies that require further analysis.
  • Helps identify and adopt cloud-based controls designed to further contain cost-based risks within our cloud IT operations.
  • Run all month-end IT/R&D financial reporting and delivers all relevant reporting to key stakeholders on a timely basis.
  • Develop financial analysis and reports as needed to support normal IT/R&D and business operations.
  • Prepare reports for and assists with the monthly financial product team reviews.
  • Processes POs for signatures, validate invoices against POs, and assists with month end reconciliation as required for all IT/R&D operational spend.
  • Manage the annual IT/R&D contract renewals schedule and trigger the appropriate stakeholders to initiate their associated renewal activity with vendors.
  • Maintain the monthly IT and R&D budget/forecast to ensure it aligns to our AWS migration plan and IT technical roadmap.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a set of financial standards for all iPipeline’s IT and R&D operations.
  • Lead product line expense reporting and analysis for the IT and R&D departments.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in IT finance and/or procurement
  • Understanding of basic accounting functions: Procurement Lifecycle, EOM reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, etc.
  • Understanding of IT basics: Servers, Networks, Storage, Firewalls, Switches, CPU, Memory, Bandwidth, etc.
  • Experience in managing budgets, procurement processing, and financial reporting.
  • Exposure to IT – candidates are not required to be technical but must be comfortable around the language and use of technology.
  • Ability to work effectively in autonomy and still meet strict daily, weekly, and monthly timelines for monitoring and reporting responsibilities
  • Willingness to learn and grow technical understanding as it relates to the role.
  • Must be detail oriented, possess good communications skills and habits, and like to work in a highly transparent environment.
  • Must be able to adjust communications to all levels of the organization, from a technical engineer to a C-level VIP.

Preferred (but not required) Experience:

 

  • AWS financial controls (Cost Explorer, Cost Savings Plans, AWS Budgets, etc.)
  • IT finances – Budgeting and forecasting of IT spends across Infrastructure, Applications, and/or Data components.
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights and Intacct
  • Hands-on experience with (a) procurement tool(s) and a full working knowledge of the procurement process and appropriate associated financial controls.
