Overview

We are currently looking for a Project Director in our Exton, PA headquarters. As a Project Director on the Professional Services team, you are responsible for implementing our most strategic accounts. While managing the team and projects, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with the client and ensuring that dependent tasks are on track. Ideal candidates should have experience building executive relationships and managing escalations. The Executive Governance meetings are driven by the Project Director where you will drive transformational ideals into reality to optimize the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Works on organization’s most strategic carriers and projects
  • Project management responsibilities on medium-large, complex, and strategic projects which many times are often the first rollout of new iPipeline products and functionalities
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders on multiple levels
  • Manages high performing teams, focused on continuous improvement which includes coaching & mentoring
  • Mentors other PMs and champions iPipeline’s project process and best practices
  • Monitors and tracks projects for quality, schedule, and cost health

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the financial requirements and profitability of the project engagement from inception to completion
  • Understands all facets of project work from daily scrum and project planning through executive reporting and roadmap collaboration
  • Must have effective customer interview skills
  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycles and process improvement methodologies
  • Experience in managing escalations and building executive relationships for collaboration in resolution and also for governance to help get roadmap plans into project builds to rollout to the field
  • Excellent time management, organizational and negotiating skills
  • Expert with Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Advanced Management Training and Technical Certifications are a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and technology

 

Education and Experience – Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, MIS, Computer Science or related area
  • AGILE experience
  • 10+ years of experience working in Client Services Project Management
  • External client experience in running and managing projects and financial profitability
  • Experience in implementing projects from beginning to end for small to mid-size companies
  • PMP Certification is also desirable
  • Experience with tools for tracking project progress (ie. JIRA) and defect tracking (MS Project, ALM)

  • Record of successful delivery of high impact, high profile projects
  • Battle tested: has managed projects successfully through high impact risks and issues
  • Skilled and experience in relationship building with team, customer, and leadership
  • Practices stakeholder management, risk management, and scope management
  • PMP certified
  • Understands strategic goals, as well as tactical plans and commitments, and balances both
  • Experienced in conflict resolution, negotiation, and management of client expectations
