    We are currently looking for a Solutions Architect / Technical Sales Engineer - .NET/Java/Web Services in the Exton, PA office.

    iPipeline, a leading insurance and financial services software development company, is looking for a Solutions Architect / Technical Sales Engineer with .NET/Java/Web Services application development experience to work on all of the innovative product lines in our Exton, PA office.

     

    iPipeline unites several exciting cutting-edge technologies, including self-explanatory systems, buyer and seller journeys, electronic signature, mobile experiences, decision support, constraint programming, and rich interactive interfaces to transform the sales and servicing of financial products. We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in .NET, Java, and Web Service application development.  This position must also be able to understand business drivers of prospective customers, develop effective solution proposals, and implement the technical solution both in a pre-sales (demo) cycle.   Excellent customer communication skills are a must.

     

    Technical Sales Engineer

     

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Technical “bridge” between R&D and Sales, developing/deploying/upgrading sales-oriented demonstration systems across all iPipeline product lines, including:
      1. Resonant
      2. AlphaTrust e-SIGN
      3. iGO
      4. Illustrations
      5. AFFIRM
      6. DocFast
      7. DTC/SiteCore
      8. InsureSight
      9. Next-generation tools
    • Integration of multiple, disparate iPipeline systems to allow demonstration of near- and long-term iPipeline vision
    • Technical ‘go-to’ person for customer and prospect presentations
    • RFI/RFP support for technical sections
    • Building and supporting Proof of Concept and Prototypes as needed to support key sales opportunities

    Qualifications

    Desired Skills and Experience

     

    • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • 3-5 or more years of experience in designing and developing web-based software solutions using Microsoft and Java technologies.
    • 3-5 or more years of hands-on experience in .Net technologies (including 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 versions), ASP.Net, C#, WCF, Web Services, Visual Studio.
    • Several years’ experience developing high-performance Java applications and web service integrations. Workflow, business process management or application integration systems preferred.
    • Experience with Git – Branching Strategy, Merging, Pull Requests, etc
    • Experience in development build/automation tools – Octopus, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc
    • Experience in scripting languages – Python, Ruby, Bash, etc
    • Experience with virtualization and containers – OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, etc
    • Working experience and knowledge of MongoDB, Linux, bootstrap, HTML5, jquery, node.js, reactjs, PHP.
    • Hands on experience with AWS: Building a highly available and scalable stack (VPC, EC2, ELB, IAM, Route53, DynamoDB, ECS, CloudWatch) or a similar IAAS product
    • Proven experience in designing and building high volume data driven websites
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytic skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently.
    • Knowledge of the ACORD insurance standard and related insurance technologies would be a plus.
    • Strong track record delivering high quality, complex software in a timely fashion with real understanding of sound engineering practices.
    • Must be technically credible to be a senior player in a team of world-class software engineers and can make the right design decisions and technology choices.
