We are currently looking for an IT Operations Analyst in either Exton (PA) or Philadelphia (PA).

Responsibilities

The IT Operations Analyst will report to the IT Ops Manager and be responsible for the following:

  • Monitor network and server resources via software and email alerts for conditions that could cause system or application outage incidents. Then resolve the condition or escalate to appropriate resolution teams.
  • Help manage communications and logistics for outages.
  • Create, maintain and monitor device polling, website transaction tests and log parsing queries that generate alerts.
  • Assist with maintenance and management of physical datacenters and remote office server rooms.
  • Assist with routine security updates for systems running Windows, Linux, VMWare, Cisco and APC OS and Firmware.
  • Perform Active Directory tasks such as user account creation and DNS administration.
  • Participate in projects for creating, upgrading and/or decommissioning physical and virtual environments.
  • Work within a 24x7x365 schedule with ability to change shifts including overnight and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science.
  • 0-2 years helpdesk or IT support experience.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Familiarity with monitoring applications such as Solarwinds, Catchpoint, New Relic, Splunk, vSphere and APC StruxureWare.
  • Some real-world experience with Windows Server Operating Systems and Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Good understanding of server hardware and datacenter topology.
  • Exposure to database storage, networking and security platforms such as SQL, Linux, F5, Cisco, Fortigate, 3PAR and/or NetApp.
  • Ability and willingness to work a rotating schedule that will include some overnight and weekend coverage.
  • Professionalism and punctuality are required.
