We are currently looking for a Senior Developer (R&D) in the Exton, PA office. 

Responsibilities

 

The Senior Developer will take a prominent role in the Research and Development group within iPipeline and be responsible for the following:

  • Design, develop and unit-test high quality, enterprise grade systems from assigned tasks in accordance with company protocol and code standards.
  • Participation in peer code reviews of written code.
  • Prepare and support deployments of software.
  • Provide production system support when asked.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including scrum, planning and retrospectives.
  • Actively participate in complete SDLC and contribute towards best practices being followed at every stage.
  • Be at the forefront in development of software projects from idea to implementation.
  • Architect solutions to support growing business needs while thoroughly considering the system-wide impact.
  • Actively participate in complete SDLC and ensure best practices are followed at every stage.
  • Advise on and implement company DevOps policies and ensure their correct implementation.

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors in Computer Science.
  • Financial/Insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently.
  • 7 or more years of experience in designing and developing web-based software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
  • 5 or more years of hands-on experience in .Net technologies (including 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 versions), ASP.Net, C#, WCF, Web Services, Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Git – Branching Strategy, Merging, Pull Requests, etc
  • Experience in development build/automation tools – Octopus, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc
  • Experience in scripting languages – Python, Ruby, Bash, etc
  • Experience with virtualization and containers – OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, etc
  • Working experience and knowledge of MongoDB, Linux, bootstrap, HTML5, jquery, node.js, reactjs, PHP.
  • Hands on experience with AWS: Building a highly available and scalable stack (VPC, EC2, ELB, IAM, Route53, DynamoDB, ECS, CloudWatch) or a similar IAAS product
  • Proven experience in designing and building high volume data driven websites
  • Must be technically credible to be a senior player in a team of world-class software engineers and can make the right design decisions and technology choices.
